The St. John’s Seminary Specific Plan involves the development of an 86.4-acre hillside parcel owned by St. John’s Seminary and Shea Homes. Located along Upland Road in the City of Camarillo, Shea Homes proposes to transform the unused portions of the

St. John’s Seminary into neighborhoods that resemble a European hilltown. The development concept includes up to 394 residential dwellings with a mixture of courtyard housing, townhomes,

duplex/triplex,and single-family dwellings designed to “fit” within the existing hillside topography. The project creates ample active and passive public recreational space which take advantage of the unobstructed views of the Oxnard Plain, Pleasant Valley, and the Channel Islands. The Daly Group is responsible for preparing the project’s specific plan, which is currently being reviewed by the City of Camarillo Planning Department.
